Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! cards on eBay: how it works and how to find the real deals
eBay is the general marketplace where most trading cards in the world change hands: auctions, fixed-price listings, private sellers and shops, from Italy and abroad. Because there is everything, on the same day the same card can cost half or double. Amber Road compares every listing with the card's market value and shows you only the ones that cost less.

How eBay works for cards
Cards are bought in two ways: “Buy it now”, at a fixed price, or at auction, where the highest bid at the deadline wins. Many listings also accept an offer. Both private users and specialised shops sell, and for every seller you see the feedback left by other buyers.
Since 1 September 2026 selling on eBay.it is free for private sellers with an address in the European Economic Area, within a number of listings a month: the current conditions are on eBay's official page on fees for private sellers.
What to watch out for
On eBay the asking price is not the market price: many listings stay unsold for months because they are too high. What counts is the price cards actually sell for. Always check the exact print (number, language, edition), the stated condition, real photos of the card and the shipping cost, which for shipments from outside the European Union can include duties.
In some countries eBay offers an authenticity check for higher-value cards; see whether the listing has it, because it does not apply everywhere.
How Amber Road is different
Amber Road sells and ships nothing. For every Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! card it works out the market value from completed sales, then searches eBay for listings of that card and compares them with that value: the Deals page shows only the ones that cost markedly less, shipping included, from sellers in the European Union.
On each card's page you also see the cheapest eBay offers at that moment. Links to eBay are affiliate links: if you buy after following them Amber Road may receive a commission from eBay, at no extra cost to you and with no effect on prices or on the order of listings.
How to use them together
Open Amber Road's Deals to see the eBay listings below market value, rechecked every few hours. If you are after one card, follow it: you get an alert when a deal appears or when the price drops below the threshold you choose.
