TCGplayer from Europe: what it is and what to use here
TCGplayer is the most used trading card marketplace in the United States and its prices are the reference of the American market. For collectors in Europe it is useful above all as a thermometer: prices are in dollars and belong to a different market from the European one.

What TCGplayer is
TCGplayer is a US online marketplace, now owned by eBay, where shops and private sellers sell single cards and sealed products. Its “Market Price”, worked out from recent sales, is the price many American collectors use as a reference.
Why American prices are not enough for buyers in Europe
A card can be worth different amounts in the United States and in Europe: demand, printed languages and availability differ. Add the dollar-euro exchange rate and, when you buy from outside the European Union, customs and VAT on arrival.
That is why TCGplayer's price, alone, doesn't tell you what you will really pay for a card in Europe.
What Amber Road does
Amber Road shows the value of every Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! card in euro, putting completed sales in Europe and in the United States side by side, already converted. You see at once whether a card costs more on one side of the ocean or the other.
The deals it points out are only listings sent by sellers inside the European Union, so without customs.
