Frequently asked questions

How do I find out what a Pokémon card is worth?
Look the card up by name or number in the catalogue: its page shows today's market value by language, condition and edition, with a chart of how it has moved. With the browser extension you also see it while looking at a listing on other sites.
Where do the prices come from?
From the public data of the main card marketplaces: completed sales in Europe and the United States, and active listings. We collect them every day and show them apart, without mixing sales and asking prices.
How often are Pokémon card prices updated?
Every day. Deals are rechecked every two hours, to remove the ones already sold.
Does Amber Road sell cards?
No: Amber Road is a price index. It shows what a card is worth and points out listings on other sites that cost less than market value; the purchase takes place on the seller's site.
