According to MTG Rocks, a new Marvel product for Magic is on the way: the Secret Lair Countdown Kit: Marvel's History of Heroes. The site reports that the limited-quantity kit holds 30 cards, costs $199.99 and goes on sale on November 2 at 9 a.m. PT, most likely on the Secret Lair website. For now the news comes from MTG Rocks alone: we found no announcement on the Wizards of the Coast site.
Eight cards have been shown so far, all reprints: Fierce Guardianship, Heroic Intervention, Opposition Agent, Timber Protector, Devastation, Molten Duplication, Fighter Class and Vigor. MTG Rocks points out that Devastation had not been reprinted since Starter 1999 and gets new artwork here, while this is the first reprint for Molten Duplication.
The other 22 cards in the kit are not known yet.
