A new promotional card tied to the Japanese magazine V Jump has been revealed: it carries the code VJMP-JP298 and is a Quick-Play Spell. According to YGOrganization, which cites the official Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh! site, its translated name is Counter Spell "Negate Attack": that is an unofficial translation, and there is no final English name yet.

The card is activated during the Battle Phase and offers a choice between two effects. The first negates an attack from an opponent's monster and ends the Battle Phase, but only while the opponent controls more monsters than you do. The second negates a monster effect activated by the opponent and, if it does, destroys that monster.

It also has an effect in the Graveyard: when you draw for your normal draw in the Draw Phase, you can banish the card to Special Summon a monster from your hand.

For now the card is announced for the Japanese OCG only: the source gives no date and no release for the Western TCG.
